The challenge
Despite having most of their business operations running in Salesforce, Shootsta’s commission process remained manual and time-consuming. Calculations took two to three weeks, involved multiple team members, and required validation across billing and subscription systems. Running commissions quarterly added pressure to the finance team, who had limited time between quarter close and payroll deadlines.
Shootsta’s leadership team are also measured on the aggregation of the results of the individual salespersons, so the importance and impact of this work was organization wide. “It was an immense, mostly manual task that took several hours a day over multiple days.”

They then had to determine if each and every datapoint was correct before validating their results against our billing and subscription management systems.
